Unplanned Trek

Many things in life will be unplanned. Some will turn good and some otherwise.

This unplanned Trek had been a memorable one.

Got Awake at 5AM in the morning and remembered a Fitness Friend Posted a trek in WhatsApp Status. Confirmed with him my Participation and zoomed on my bike to the starting point to the foot hills of Simhachalam, the Madhavadhara Temple.

Just after a minute my friend arrived and later the trek group of 10 Assembled at the starting point.

Slowly we started climbing the rock steps carved with great skill and patience centuries back. Though the starting steps are difficult, the going gets easy.

Its a wonderful feeling the seasoned trekkers will get a high. This is the one in the heart of the city to try. To watch the lush greenery, to bust your stress , take your pick.

After a 15 mins trek, we reached the beautiful view point of Hills and the whole city mushroomed with Apartments. Its am awesome view point the Vizagites should cherish.

On the way we have seen a depilated Guest house of Vizianagaram Rajas who used to stop on the way to pilgrimage of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha.

Side of the Guest House there is a large Banyan tree centuries old which might have seen the full glory of this guest house.

The great Banyan Tree, one more view.

From here we continued the trek through the dense greenery. As there are no steps further its been a breeze walking.

After continuing for another 15 minutes we reached the water tank which supplies water to the Simhachalam.

On reaching the top of it the view with Temple on one side and the majestic Hills are another side is simply superb.

This will be the place to sit in silence and converse with the nature.

We can also perform meditation and get the God's blessing as its the back side of the temple.

We got down and continued our steps. We came upon a arch which reads Girijan village of the Simhachalam.

This route will culminate at the Simhachalam temple.

We had our ride waiting which brought us back to the Madhavadhara temple. Many trekkers continue back at this point and will reach the Madhavadhara Temple.

This is one hell of a trek with greenery, pure oxygen and lots of fun.

Thanks Ajay garu for this experience. Waiting for many others.
