Vanajangi, the Cloud Hill

 Vanajangi:

The place being frequented by thousands.

Its a remote hill top with people residing in tens for last century.

Suddenly after the discovery of the scenic beauty formation, people are flocking in huge swarms.

We friends of four had started in the afternoon from vizag on able bikes.

Vanajangi is 5 Kms from Paderu. Its 100 kms from Vizag.

After a non eventful 3 hours journey we are at paderu.

On the way to Paderu, we can taste the famous Madadugulla Halwa.

We reached Paderu at 4pm, this sleepy town has Petrol bunk, ATMs.

Here we can refill the essentials as on Hilltop we cant get any.

We packed some food and started the hill ascent.

The road till a point is very good. Cars can reach till this place.

After that its advisable for bikes only.

We reached the camping place, pitched our tent and called it a day.

For fire camp the locals will sell the firewood.

Its just 2 tents at 5PM and it became crowded by 8PM.

We enjoyed the star gazing, spent warm time at campfire had dinner and slept early. As we have to get up early to catch the sunrise on hilltop.

Started our trek at 5.30AM. We saw lots of people of all age groups trekking energetic.

We reached a midground and the aged choose to enjoy the sunrise from there.

We aimed for the summit and continued, its bit of a trek by climbing the hill.

We reached the summit and surprised by the crowd there.

There are hundreds of people at 6.30AM.

The view from the summit is mesmerizing. We are above the clouds and its really a view to kill.

Watching the sunrise from this view is really awesome.

This is the best treat I had. The trip cost 1000 for fuel at most.

Thats the saying goes, good things in life are free!

How to reach:

On Private transport, rented vehicles.

From Vizag, paderu is 100kms, 3 hours journey.

Not much of accommodation in paderu. Mostly its camping.

Things to take: Food and water. Firewood for camp fire available at the top.

Bit of fitness needed for trek.
